OAYE Batch Tracing

Trace your jar of Mānuka Honey

Onuku uses the Origins OAYE authentication system to give you full transparency on every jar.

Each jar carries an individually registered NFC tag that links to the batch information for the honey inside it. Simply use your phone to scan and view detail regarding your batch of Mānuka honey.

If your phone is not NFC enabled, you can download an NFC reader from the App Store.

Each NFC tag is individually registered to Onuku Limited and is part of a multi-tier authentication and anti-counterfeiting system. This means you can verify that your honey is genuine, and trace it back to the specific batch it came from.

In a market where counterfeit Mānuka honey is a well-documented problem, OAYE gives you proof, not promises.

OAYE scanning requires an NFC-enabled smartphone. Most modern smartphones (iPhone 7 and later, most Android devices) have NFC capability built in.

UMF Certified Mānuka Honey

Onuku Limited is a licensed member of the Unique Mānuka Factor Honey Association. The UMF mark on our Mānuka honey certifies that it is genuine, independently tested, and graded.

The UMF grading system tests for three key markers: leptosperin (which confirms the honey is genuinely from Mānuka nectar), DHA (dihydroxyacetone, which indicates long-term potency), and methylglyoxal (MGO, the primary bioactive compound). Only monofloral Mānuka honey can carry the UMF trademark.

The UMF number on the label represents the overall quality rating based on these combined markers. A higher number means higher concentrations of all three compounds.
