Onuku was established in 2016 by the Onuku Māori Lands Trust. Onuku Limited has become a fast growing business built on time honoured traditional ideas and principles including:

Onuku Limited utilizes the Origins product authentication system OAYE which allows consumers to access product and provenance information specific to each batch. This information can be accessed by scanning the embedded NFC tag. Each tag is individually registered to Onuku Limited and is part of a multi-tier authentication and anti-counterfeiting system.
Onuku Ltd is a license holder of the Unique Mānuka Honey Association UMF® grading system. Having the UMF® logo on our Mānuka Honey certifies that it is genuine Mānuka Honey. The number/ rating on the logo represents the unique signature compounds characteristic of this honey which ensure purity and quality. These include: the key markers of Leptosperin, DHA and Methylglyoxal.
Onuku is associated with the Onuku Maori Lands Trust (OMLT) that owns, administers and farms approximately 2363 Hectares of prime land at the base of the mighty Mount Tarawera.
